Who is Shadows Cast Records?
- I (Jon Sigma) started this label back when i was in high school in 2002. Currently this label is my side project and a part time job for me. During the day when my band is not on the road I work as a veterinary technician in a local animal hospital and when i'm not at work I am on tour or playing somewhere with my band Sigma. If you are wondering what does the name Shadows Cast means, it doesnt really have a specific meaning, i am a big Pantera fan and I got "Shadows Cast" from one of their songs I was listening on my cd player in class back in high school. This label is completly and 100%DIY. I do everything and all the work during my free time in the day. Everynow and then i get some help from my band mates and other friends. All the money made from sales is put back into the label. All bands who appear on here are signed with a handshake or just by an email. No lawyers or anything. Bands here can go on to any other bigger label if they wish. No one gets held back with any contract.

Who distributes Shadows Cast music wholesale?

How long does it take to get my order?
- Please allow two (2) to four (4) weeks for delivery of all Domestic Orders. For International Orders, please allow three (3) to six (6) weeks for delivery.

Who handles radio promotion for Shadows Cast releases?
-Currently we (Jon and the bands) either do our own radio promotion. If you are a radio station wishing to be added to our service list, please send us info about your station/show. Sometimes if we're not familiar with you yet, it helps to receive charts and playlists. Those can be emailed to shadowscastprod@yahoo.com. Keep in mind that we have a limited number of promos for each release.

Who handles press for Shadows Cast releases?
-Our publicity is handled in-house. If you are interested in interviews, reviews etc. please contact JON

I started a zine/website.Can you send me promo copies of your releases to review?
-Send me a copy/information about what you're doing. I am always down for this. And I like to support all zines.

Who can I contact about advertising?

Do you have street teams?
-Yes! Please email me your name/mailing address and contact info to Jon.

How can I get in contact with a band or a band member?
- In most cases, if you click on The Band page and select a band you should see a contact email listed.

Does Shadows Cast accept demos?
- I love getting demos from everyone. But please at least include a demo with 2-4 songs, a bio and a picture of your bands. The more stuff you have the better. And dont forget to include your contact info. My demo submission policy is a little different from other labels, i like you to email me first and i will contact you back. And the reason why i do this is, I look forward for your demo in the mail and i will listen to it and keep in touch with you about it. This way the minute i get your demo i will guarentee you that i'll listen to it.

Who do I contact about using Shadows Cast music in a film, television program, or advertisement?
- We prefer that you contact the bands directly on this. The reason is, if you contact us, we are just going to forward that email to the bands. And please dont call any of those bands "sell-outs" for appearing on tv or any advertisement. These bands all work hard and deserve it.

The Shadows Cast Records Alliance

-Shadows Cast Records Alliance is a program started by Shadows Cast Records to help promote and distribute hardworking bands music. This program is not a record deal. The bands still own 100% of the rights to their music. This program is just designed to help hardworking bands out there.

Shadows Cast Records will buy a certain amount of CD’s directly from the band and sell it online at www.shadowscastrecords.com . The price typically will be marked anywhere between 7 USD to 10 USD (includes shipping). We are going to try and keep it this way. Shadows Cast Records will also sell your music to other distributors upon band permission. Some of the distributors are Interpunk.com, Smartpunk, Cargo Music, etc. Shadows Cast Records will also release a song sampler CD upon band permission. This sampler CD will contain 1-2 songs of all the artists on the label who does any work with this label.

Shadows Cast Records is a 100% DIY label. People who work for this label are all in bands themselves. Label work is all done during their free time. So please don’t expect us to sell your music and make you big all in a week. Remember the band is the one to make their music sell, not the label. If interested in joining the alliance, please contact us anytime. Remember CD must be shrink-wrapped, barcode, normal CD from a pressing plant, not a CD-R. We will contact you if we are interested. If you do not hear from us, that does not mean that your band sucks, it just means that we have too much on our hands and cannot accept anymore projects.
